Michelle founded Divorce Smart after going through her own divorce. She is also the owner of Wealth Planning Group which provides full-service financial planning and investment management and has worked in the financial services industry for over 26 years. In addition to her role as a Certified Divorce Financial Analyst (CDFA®) and Mediator at Divorce Smart, Michelle is a Certified Financial Planner, (CFP®), and is trained in Collaborative Divorce.
Michelle is a member of the Financial Planning Association, Team Women, National Association of Women Business Owners, Minnesota Women Lawyers, Minnesota Collaborative Law Institute, Academy of Professional Family Mediators, Association of Family and Conciliation Courts, International Academy of Collaborative Professionals and the Minnesota State Bar Association’s Alternative Dispute Resolution division. In her free time, she enjoys volunteering, enjoying time at the lake and spending time with her daughter, Katie, her son, Nick and their Goldendoodle, Bailey.
